Field Engineer is an entry-level field position responsible for providing support to Superintendent and on-site personnel. Support involves assisting on-site field administration, supervision and technical management for all projects assigned. Assist in directing planning, coordination and execution of work on time, within budget, attaining or exceeding profit goals, maintaining a safe workplace, promoting and enhancing client relationships and the company image.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist Preconstruction, Project Management and Superintendent to develop an initial project schedule and communicate sequence and schedule updates to all subcontractors and vendors.
Assist in developing, maintaining, and enforcing a project site logistics and temporary facilities plan.
Assist in developing, implementing, maintaining and enforcing a project site specific safety program in accordance with Policies andProcesses, OSHA requirements, local, state and federal laws to include all subcontractors.
Actively participate in and assist post-bid, buyout, Owner/Architect/Contractor, coordination, lead team, subcontractor, staff, scheduling and post-mortem meetings.
Assist in developing, implementing, maintaining and enforcing a project specific quality assurance and workmanship program to include all subcontractors.
Participate in and assist managing OSHA site visits.
Obtain and install standardized project signage from Corporate Marketing and other required identification material.
In coordination with the Project Manager and Superintendent assist in developing general conditions budget, and through labor cost reporting, manage and control the budget.
Perform and monitor all jobsite control reporting measures including daily reports, quantity reporting, accident and incident reports and timesheets.
Possess working knowledge of all project plans, specifications, contract with Owner, subcontracts, purchase orders, daily correspondence, shop drawings, submittals, and all other project related documents, and maintain a complete and accurate set of as-builts.
Review and provide feedback on all purchase orders and subcontracts.
Assist coordination and management of all material deliveries, subcontracts and self-perform.
Perform a qualitative review of all contract documents for potential conflicts or interpretation issues to mitigate risk.
Assist in ensuring a timely project completion through project scheduling, expediting of material deliveries and the management ofmaterial and document submittals/approvals.
Assist layout and field engineering in accordance with all project requirements.
Ensure that all requirements of insurance, safety, labor relations and Equal Employment Opportunity are met.
Inspect the jobsite including climbing ladders, cluttered areas, working in bad weather, hazardous areas, dark conditions, etc. to view the progress of construction.
Understand all trade contractors means and methods in accordance with project contract documents.
Assist coordination of daily construction activities within existing operating facilities.
Assist Project Manager and Superintendent in reviewing, approving, and coding subcontractor, vendor payment applications and miscellaneous invoices.
Maintain a set of plans and contract documents that contains all the current contract changes and clarifications.
Assist developing and executing a plan for monitoring and completing punch list Coordinate all required field inspections.
Understand local labor requirements, availability and capability for self-perform work.
Familiar with all Policies and Processes as it relates to this position.
Actively participates on internal team(s) that focus on continuous improvement of the business.
Promote the growth and development of client, subcontractor and vendor relationships.
GENERAL BACKGROUND AND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Two-year associates or four-year degree in an accredited construction related curriculum, (BSCE, BSCM, BSAE, ) or experience equivalent to a four-year degree.
At least 3 months of experience in construction(required). Field (preferred).
Completion of OSHA Ten Hour or OSHA 30 Hour Safety Course (preferred).
Knowledge of applicable OSHA requirements (required).
First Aid and CPR certifications.
Proficient with personal computer based scheduling software, and proficiency in current corporate software packages.
