Position: HR Manager
Location: Grand Rapids, MI
Responsibilities:
The HR Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of human resources strategy and operations across the organization. This role partners closely with executive leadership to align people initiatives with business goals, ensuring a strong, compliant, and inclusive workplace culture. Key responsibilities include talent management, organizational development, employee relations, total rewards, HR compliance, and HR systems. The HR Manager also guides the HR team in delivering best-in-class support, driving operational efficiency, and fostering employee engagement at every level.
Here's what you'll be doing:
Effectively navigating complex employee relations issues.
Lead total rewards function, including providing insight into annual renewal for both internal and external employees' benefit plans.
Lead compliance initiatives including ERISA, ACA, I-9, ESTA, ADA, FLSA, FMLA, and more.
Own the internal hiring and onboarding process, ensuring a positive new hire experience.
Effectively resolve any labor relations issues encountered in operations.
Develop and implement training programs for operations, sales, safety, and compliance.
Coach and develop direct reports as well as leadership across the organization.
Responsible for ensuring all team members experience a safe and inclusive working environment.

Education and Experience:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration. HRCI or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
Experience: 3 or more years experience in Human Resources with at least 1 year with direct managerial experience. Staffing experience is a plus but not required.
Technology: 2 or more years experience with HRIS systems, Paycor preferred. Experience with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office

Qualifications
Experience in Human Resources (HR) management
Expertise in HR policies and procedures
Ability to manage employee relations effectively
Experience in performance management and improvement processes
Knowledge of labor laws, employment laws, and other legal regulations pertaining to HR management
Experience with Google, Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems
