BrighterHire is proud to partner with Caelux, a cutting-edge solar technology company based in Baldwin Park, CA, to find an exceptional Operations Engineer who is ready to get on the production floor and make an impact from day one.
This role isn’t about sitting behind a desk—it’s about being hands-on in manufacturing operations, solving real-time challenges, and working with a range of personalities across Operations, QC, Engineering, and R&D. The ideal candidate brings technical expertise, a sharp mind for process improvement, and the interpersonal confidence to lead from the floor.
What You’ll Do
Lead from the floor: Collaborate with operators and technicians to monitor, troubleshoot, and improve daily production operations.
Optimize production: Identify and implement process enhancements that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and elevate product quality.
Bridge teams: Act as a critical liaison between production, engineering, quality control, and R&D to ensure aligned execution and continuous improvement.
Navigate strong personalities: Build rapport, manage conflict, and hold your own when working with a diverse and fast-moving team.
Support scaling: Partner with the process development team to integrate perovskite materials and scale up manufacturing for commercial readiness.
Uphold quality: Conduct tests and data analysis to verify performance and maintain rigorous quality standards.
Champion safety & compliance: Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.
Train & mentor: Share best practices and help upskill production staff.
RequirementsWhat You Bring
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Renewable Energy, or similar field
2+ years of experience in production-heavy engineering or high-tech manufacturing
Strong hands-on skills, comfort operating equipment, and willingness to spend most of your day on the floor
Excellent interpersonal skills—comfortable interacting with technicians, engineers, and senior staff alike
Experience navigating challenging personalities and fast-paced environments
Familiarity with lean manufacturing and quality standards (ISO, IEC)
Proficiency in data tools like Excel or Minitab
Bonus if you have experience with perovskite materials, thin-film deposition, or solar module fabrication
