Overview

CTG is seeking to fill an Application Developer – Microsoft Analytics opening for our client in Dallas, TX.

Location: Dallas, TX

Duration: 6 months

Duties:

Install, configure, and maintain Databricks clusters and workspaces

Ensure platform remains current with security, compliance, and patching best practices

Monitor and manage cluster performance, resource utilization, and platform costs

Troubleshoot and resolve platform-related issues to ensure optimal performance

Implement and manage access controls and security policies to safeguard sensitive data

Utilize Unity Catalog to manage schema data, including creation, configuration, external storage setup, and permission management

Manage and configure AWS resources related to Databricks, including networking components

Support Power BI platform and assist in report deployment, performance tuning, and integration with other systems

Skills:

Strong proficiency in administering Microsoft Power BI and Databricks platforms

Expertise in Databricks architecture, Unity Catalog, and AWS-based resource management

Knowledge of access management, security configuration, and compliance within cloud environments

Familiarity with data visualization best practices and Power BI report optimization

Ability to diagnose and resolve performance and configuration issues in analytics environments

Experience:

5+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI and Databricks platform administration

Proven track record in managing cloud-based analytics platforms and enterprise data systems

Experience in managing security and compliance in cloud environments (preferably AWS)

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
