IT Network Administrator - Spring Hill, TN - Fully Onsite - 2nd Shift
2nd shift: 4 PM – 12:30 AM, have to be 100% onsite because they support manufacturing
(1st shift for training for a couple of months 6 AM – 2:20 PM)
Potentially 2hrs/week OT – a couple days a month where OT will be needed, not consistent
Role will be within the manufacturing plant, hands on support printers, computers, all the plant floor devices, if manufacturing is down they coordinate the work between the plant and the central support team to work and troubleshoot and restore the services, PC builds, printer support.
Typical day breakdown – once trained and familiar with the build processes and support, will work within a ticket system for requests from end users, responsible for responding to ticket queue. Fixing application issues, fixing hardware, varies from day to day. The biggest thing is keeping tabs on the manufacturing plant, anything that impacts production should be fixed right away to get back up and running, engage app support teams, tasks driven by ticket queue and user requests. Number of tickets in queue varies every day, but it is never empty there is always something to be doing.
Degree Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science preferred)
Years of experience: 2-4 years’ experience
Network skills – Cisco certification, the network is based on Cisco, switch knowledge, know how to troubleshoot or cable management experience, hands on experience with troubleshooting and fixing things
Most of their printers are HP printers or Zebra, experience with HP is a nice to have
Computer experience – supporting windows PC’s
