Tool & Die Maker - Afternoon Shift

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker for the afternoon shift. This role is responsible for supporting production operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing tools and dies to ensure efficiency and quality.

Shift: Afternoon Shift (3PM - 11PM)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and optimize transfer and line dies both in and out of the press as needed.

Operate tool room equipment and machinery with precision.

Support press setup and efficiency to meet production expectations.

Follow all safety procedures and protocols.

Use root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques to improve efficiency and quality.

Ensure product quality meets print specifications.

Work overtime as needed to meet production demands.

Handle wastewater as required, following environmental training guidelines.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Apply Lean Manufacturing principles, including 5S and Kaizen processes.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that align with company goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Proficiency in blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation for dies, details, and part prints.

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.

Experience using computers and productivity machinery such as control panels.

Ability to interpret CMM or gaging data and adjust tooling accordingly.

Five years of experience in metal stamping, prototype, tool and die building, or die repair.

Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and Q1 compliance standards.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets.

High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school education preferred.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Work involves standing, sitting, lifting, bending, and repetitive motion tasks.

Requires excellent manual dexterity and the ability to lift up to 80 pounds frequently.

Manufacturing environment with continuous noise exposure.

Must be available for necessary overtime.
