What you’ll do:

Here is a sample for some of what your workdays may look like:

Participate in the development of safe operating procedures.

Complete all North River Midstream training as required.

Operate all plant systems for respective area in a safe, effective and efficient manner, meeting all regulatory requirements and focusing on continuous improvement of operating practices, plant reliability and production.

Manage day to day operations activities of assigned plant area(s) including:

Equipment preparation and lock out for maintenance

Regular plant safety equipment inspections

Operator equipment checks and process equipment readings

Issue of work permits for the area(s) of responsibility

Input of notifications for failed equipment within assigned area(s)

Troubleshoot equipment and/or process problems.

Follow environmental permit requirements, policies, and reporting procedures; spill control and clean up procedures.

Communicate of all process changes and concerns at the end of shift; completing the daily shift log.

Report all accidents, incidents and near misses.

Work in a team environment within the Steam Operations department.

What you bring:

Required

Grade 12 or equivalent technical training

4th Class Power Engineering Certification, valid in BC

Valid BC Class 5 drivers license

Preferred

2nd Class Power Engineering Certification, valid in BC

3+ years experience as a shift operator in oil/gas industry

Processing facility mechanical aptitude

Strong focus on safety

Strong team player capable of working with minimal supervision

Familiar with environmental permit requirements, policies, and reporting procedures; spill control and clean up procedures

Salary Range:

$59.51 - $63.15 plus allowances and premiums. Total compensation is administered under the collective agreement.

Comments:

This is a unionized position with Unifor local 686B and members accumulating seniority will be given first priority. Other members will be given consideration/preference as per the CBA.
