With experience, make up to $25.00 per hour.
Summary
Set up, adjust and operate press brakes to perform a wide variety of forming, bending and punching operations. Note: To qualify as a Brake Press Operator, the employee must demonstrate proficiency with all pieces of brake press equipment.
Essential duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Set up punches, dies and gauges, adjust ram stroke to form materials to proper radius and angle.
Determine sequence of multiple pass operations to make required bends on complicated sections.
Use set up pieces for forming special shapes having single or compound radii and angle requirements.
Work from drawings, patterns, templates and specifications.
Use scale, protractor, radii gauges, etc.
Identify parts with correct shop and part number.
Work is subject to first piece and process checks and final inspection.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED, HSED)
One to three months related experience and/or training preferred
