Lighthouse Lab Services seeks a full-time Laboratory Manager for an established and well respected Addition Services non-profit large in Akron, OH.

ABOUT THE POSITION
Reporting to the Lab Director and Chief Operations Officer, the Laboratory Manager will provide assistance to medical patients and clients. This individual will provide support and laboratory services to patients, customers, visitors and staff.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee all testing oversight, assuring samples are collected and processed accurately.
Ensure appropriate chain of custody procedures are being followed.
Provide supervision and support to assigned staff.
Provide backup coverage to administrative staff as needed
Provide backup coverage to Lab staff as needed.
Provide any/all patient intake, support, and information retrieval
Answering phones and relaying messages to staff and providing assistance to callers
Meeting, greeting, and announcing patients and visitors.
Enter patient and customer data into the computer
Meet with Staff and Administration on a regular basis.
Collaborate with CHC leadership across the agency, and with external referral sources.
Approve staff timecards.
Review, recommend and approve training for Lab Staff.
Complete administrative duties including, but not limited to, staff evaluations in the appropriate time.
Ensure staff supervised have appropriate certification and licenses that are verified for the services they perform.
Provides Supervision and support to assigned staff, by providing day to day oversight, facilitating departmental improvements through the creation of a positive work environment, analyzing program needs and development of program goals and action plans.
Staff, hiring, oversight, training, and support.
Complete administrative duties including, but not limited to, staff evaluations in the appropriate time.
Ensure staff are registered for and attend all appropriate training.
Ensure supplies for drug and alcohol testing are ordered and on hand.
Follow all established agency policies and procedures to include performance improvement, safety environmental and infection control.
Perform other duties as assigned either in written form or verbally given by superiors
REQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological or clinical, or medical laboratory science
At least 2 years of laboratory training or experience in nonwaived testing in the designated specialty/subspecialty area (Toxicology testing)
At least 1-2 years in a leadership role

$75-85K (salaried non-exempt)
