In this role at New Energy Equity, the Marketing Operations Specialist will optimize our marketing systems and processes, manage data and performance analytics, and support targeted lead generation campaigns. Sitting at the intersection of strategy and execution, this role ensures that the marketing department runs efficiently and effectively, with scalable infrastructure to support growth. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys diving into data, improving workflows, and bringing clarity and structure to fast-moving teams. You’ll work cross-functionally across marketing, land, and data teams, and play a key role in how we reach and nurture landowners throughout their journey with us. This role can be based out of our office in Roseville, MN or Annapolis, MD.
Job Duties include the following:
• Design and manage marketing automation workflows in Salesforce Marketing Cloud to nurture landowner leads and streamline touchpoints throughout the customer journey.
• Build dashboards and tracking systems to monitor campaign performance across direct mail, email, and digital channels. Regularly analyze data and present insights to guide strategic decisions.
• Segment outreach lists, manage timelines and test new channels and tactics to improve performance.
• Oversee SEO strategy and backend performance of the company website. Collaborate with ALLETE and external partners on technical updates and user experience improvements.
• Identify opportunities to improve marketing operations. Standardize campaign processes, documentation, and data hygiene to enhance team efficiency and reporting accuracy.
• Work closely with the Director of Marketing and other team members to connect campaign insights with long-term strategy and business goals.
• Other marketing related duties may be assigned
Qualifications:
Required Experience:
• 3+ years of experience in marketing operations, demand generation, or digital marketing
• Strong experience with Salesforce and/or Salesforce Marketing Cloud
• Familiarity with data management and campaign performance reporting
• Proven ability to automate marketing workflows and integrate cross-channel systems
• Experience working with third-party vendors or managing complex timelines
Preferred Experience:
• Familiarity with Google Analytics, SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush), and website CMS platforms
• Experience in B2B marketing or lead generation for long sales cycles
• Experience in the renewable energy or real estate industry is a plus

• Clear communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Comfort working with ambiguity and finding creative, efficient solutions
• High level of proficiency with M365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Forms)

• High level of proficiency with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or a comparable marketing automation software

The expected annual compensation range for this position is $70,000- $80,000, encompassing base pay and potential incentive target opportunity. This range is a good faith estimate based on the position's requirements. Specific compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary depending on factors such as relevant knowledge, skills, training, experience, and market conditions.
