Cloud Engineer

HarmonyTech Inc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and integrating cloud computing and virtualization systems to meet our business needs. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud technologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Position is in Washington D.C. and requires U.S. Citizenship or Green Card.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement cloud computing and virtualization systems.

Provide detailed information for hardware and software selection.

Evaluate and select cloud service providers.

Develop and implement application and data migration techniques using right tools.

Ensure solutions meet present and future capacity requirements.

Maintain technical expertise in cloud computing and virtualization technologies.

Maintain technical expertise regarding cloud service provider architectures, design, and configurations.

Work with cloud deployment models including public, community, private, and hybrid clouds.

Maintain technical expertise regarding cloud service delivery models including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.

Implement automation, hypervisors, containers, virtual compute, storage, and networks.

Manage virtual infrastructure, self-provisioning, and scaling.

Evaluate and report on new cloud and virtualization technologies.

Enhance the capabilities of cloud-based and virtualized services.Requirements:

5+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, with mid-level and senior-level experience as a Cloud Architect.

Deep understanding of cloud computing and virtualization technologies.

Experience with cloud service provider architecture, design, and configuration.

Familiarity with cloud deployment models (public, community, private, and hybrid).

Knowledge of cloud service delivery models (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS).

Experience with automation, hypervisors, containers, virtual compute, storage, and networks.

Proficiency in virtual infrastructure management, self-provisioning, and scaling.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Azure Gov cloud is a plus.

Experience with Azure ExpressRoute is a plus.

Experience with AWS, GCP and OCI is a plus.

Experience with VMWARE and/or Hyper-V is a plus.Certifications:

Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.

Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (Preferred)Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cloud Computing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
