Job Description:

In this job, you will work in a production environment, working with resistance welding and pem stud equipment. After an initial training period, productivity and quality requirements must be met. Durations of set-ups and run times will vary. Tasks require a moderate degree of eye-hand coordination, manual dexterity, and the use of both hands and arms on a repetitive basis for a full range of motion.

Key Responsibilities

Setup and operation of resistance welder.

Setup and operation of pem stud equipment.

Identifying need for weld tip conditioning or having the ability to condition weld tips.

Conduct quality control checks.

Position or align components and parts manually.

Read blueprints and to follow specific written instructions and procedures

Qualifications

Experience as a machine operator in a production environment preferred.

Ability to set up and operate metal finishing machinery.

Ability to read blueprints and to follow specific written instructions and procedures.

Ability to keep workspace clean and organized.

Ability to be forklift certified

Physical Requirements

Standing: Most tasks are performed in a standing position with intermittent walking.

Lifting: Frequently lifting items weighing 5 lbs. to 10 lbs.; occasionally lifting items weighing up to 50 lbs.

Walking: Frequent walking short distances (less than 1/8 mile).

Carrying: Occasional carrying of bulky items weighing up to 50 lbs. short distances.

Pushing: Use of manual hand truck and carts to occasionally move skids or parts short distances.

Pulling: Use of manual hand truck and carts to occasionally move skids or parts short distances.

Bending: Occasional bending required to perform a variety of tasks.

Reaching: Frequent reaching to load and unload parts from fixture in machine, tubs, carts, or pallets.

Handling: Frequent handling of parts ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 10 lbs.

Gripping: Frequent gripping of parts while spot welding.

Work Schedule:

Monday- Thursday (5:00 am-3:30 pm; 10 hour shift) Subject to Change

Frequent Scheduled Overtime required.
