Set-Up Support Operator

Job Description

Minutemen Direct is recruiting for a Set-Up Support Operator in Cleveland, OH area for a large packaging and labeling company. Hours are Monday-Thursday 6am-4pm.Pay starts at $20-$23 range BOE. Benefits start after 30 days.

Requirements for position:

Perform timely and efficient equipment set-ups, changeovers and start-ups to minimize production delays.

Promptly and accurately report daily production, including labor and materials used.

Assist in the training of equipment operators and carton packers/box handlers.

Assist with coordination, receiving and inspection of production materials and supplies for availability and readiness to minimize production downtime and spoilage.

Solving internal and external departmental problems to promoteteamwork and cooperation in support of company objectives.

Promote facility, equipment and employee safety, including reporting problems, conditions and hazards that cannot be immediately corrected.

Assist in employee evaluation effectiveness, and the enforcement of company policy and procedures.

Responsibilities:

Developing, refining and writing of procedures, forms and work instructions.

Perform special projects as requested.

Assist in the laying out an setting up of work areas for safety and efficiency of complex jobs.

Performing a variety of task to support production objectives in the absence of personnel normally assigned to accomplish those tasks.

Qualifications:

High school diploma/equivalent.

Computer skills, good communications skills, math and interpersonal skills.

2 Years of Industrial experience.

Must have normal color vision and be able to read 5 or 6 point font.
