The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and general maintenance of the factory’s infrastructure, equipment, and systems. This role ensures that the facility operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities:Facility Maintenance & Repairs:
Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of facility infrastructure, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and structural components.
Ensure proper functioning of compressed air systems, water supply, drainage, and ventilation.
Maintain and repair factory flooring, roofing, walls, and other structural elements as needed.
Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and proactively address maintenance needs.Equipment & Machinery Maintenance:
Support the maintenance team in servicing and repairing factory machinery, including kilns, conveyors, mixers, and cutting machines.
Work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure equipment reliability and uptime.
Assist in diagnosing and resolving mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues affecting production equipment.Safety & Compliance:
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with OSHA and other regulatory safety standards.
Conduct safety inspections and participate in audits to maintain compliance with workplace regulations.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks to reduce the risk of equipment failure and workplace hazards.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to ensure workplace safety.Inventory & Documentation:
Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
Track inventory levels of maintenance supplies and order necessary materials.
Assist in the development and implementation of a preventive maintenance schedule.General Duties:
Support facility improvement projects, including energy efficiency initiatives and renovations.
Assist in the installation of new equipment and facility modifications as needed.
Collaborate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance tasks.Qualifications & Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent (Technical certification in maintenance-related fields preferred).
Minimum 2-5 years of experience in facility maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
Experience with industrial maintenance, including machinery and production equipment.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Basic understanding of welding, carpentry, and general repair techniques.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and best practices.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various environments.Work Environment:
Work is performed in a factory setting with exposure to noise, dust, heat, and industrial hazards.
May require standing for long periods and working in confined spaces or at heights.
