Job Description

We invite qualified candidates to consider a rewarding opportunity as a 5-Axis CNC Set Up Machinist. This role involves the setup, operation, and utilization of our 4/5-axis milling machines.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Demonstrate the ability to read and interpret work instructions, including multiple fixture alignment, tooling specifications, and part loading guidance.

- Provide valuable support for programming to ensure the effective use of programs and tools.

- Work with travelers, blueprints, setup sheets, drawings, and verbal instructions to execute tasks accurately.

- Employ appropriate measuring tools, such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and plug gauges, to maintain quality standards.

- Conduct inspections of manufactured components to ensure adherence to specifications.

- Set up and verify programs on machines and, depending on the complexity, manage production runs as required.

- Suggest modifications and improvements to existing programs to enhance efficiency.

- Collaborate with operators and offer troubleshooting assistance for machines when necessary.

**Qualifications:**

- Capacity to effectively manage and prioritize a variety of setups and short-run jobs.

- Familiarity with working materials such as Inconel, Titanium, Steel, and Aluminum is essential.

- Knowledge of calculating feeds and speeds based on cutter and material types.

- Expertise in threading and drilling is preferred.

- Experience with hogging out aluminum billets is required.

**Experience:**

- A minimum of 5 years of machining experience on a vertical milling center is required.

Work Schedule:

8-hour Shifts- 5:00 am – 1:30 pm

Compensation:

Pay: $25.00. - $30.00 per hour (1 review minimum per year for performance-based increase)
