CNC programmer
Summary:
A skilled CNC programmer to operate and maintain Emtek’s CNC (computer numerical controlled) machinery. CNC machinery to fabricate/rework metallic and woodworking skus. The CNC programmer will be responsible for continue improvement through reading and interpreting technical blueprints, inputting the design specifications, adjusting the programs and machine to cutting paths for greater efficiency, and performing quality checks on the final product. You may also be required to perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities
· Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner
· Property and safety loads and unload castings and raw material in CNC machinery
· Excellent communication with management and floor team to sustain a safe environment
· Improve existing programs and setups to improve safety, efficiency and quality. Document accordingly
· Cost savings tracking
· Proficient on Esprit programing
· Knowledgeable in sketch graphic editor
· Adept on Bescutter laser cutter and other new equipment
· Must be proficient with HAAS controls
· Understand, interpret and edit MasterCAM G-code programming
· Work with Production team to recognize, deploy and proper use of inserts, fixtures and tooling.
· Performs regular cleaning and light maintenance after CNC machinery use
· Provides constant feedback and input into the process improvement within the department
· Improve on production yields, schedule your test programs with lead
· Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions
· Attends schedule meetings and actively participates by providing meaningful input
· Is flexible with time and schedule to assure availability to customers or company as circumstances warrant
· Communications honest, professionally and respectfully with others and demonstrates effectiveness and listing skills.
· Understand KB for all current tooling and consumables at Machine shop
· 1st responder for production issues, procurement responsibility
