Home Health Registered Nurse Details and Compensation:
Location: Shelbyville, TN – 100% on-site
Payrate: $48.69/hr
Required Availability: Mon-Fri 8a-5p
Home Health Registered Nurse Summary and Highlights:
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for assessing the health of individuals we serve, implementing care plans, and ensuring health maintenance and disease prevention. You will also play a crucial role in case management and may supervise care plans and staff members.
This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs

Home Health Registered Nurse Responsibilities:
Observe, assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing support for individuals in a community or small facility setting.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to plan, implement, and evaluate programs and services.
Coordinate communication and actions across various disciplines related to health and safety.
Manage medication administration, including ordering, reviewing, monitoring, discontinuing, and disposing of medications as prescribed.
Ensure policies are in place for medication administration, errors, storage, access, and destruction, and conduct annual reviews and revisions.
Provide progress reports to physicians regarding changes in client conditions.
Transcribe or ensure transcription of physician phone orders and medical reports.
Complete daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual nursing documentation.
Ensure routine documentation of individual health status in nurse's notes.
Maintain furnishings, equipment, and supplies to prevent disease spread.
Direct and supervise Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses as needed.
Schedule and ensure completion of health-related appointments, and implement appropriate responses to findings.
Maintain communication with inpatient nursing and discharge coordinators for hospitalized individuals.
Provide new employee training and annual recertification training on health and safety topics.
Train unlicensed staff on person-specific health maintenance, safety, and disease prevention
Home Health Registered Nurse Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or GED (Verifiable).
Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Tennessee.
Proven experience in assessing and implementing care plans.
Strong knowledge of medication management and administration.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work effectively in a community or small facility setting.
Ability to train and supervise other staff.
Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
