Flexo Printing Press Operator

Match Staffing has partnered with a premier company in Spartanburg, SC. This will be a temp to perm position. The Operator is responsible for maintaining maximum productivity while achieving the required roll quality and color match off the press. They operate and are directly responsible for the operation of the press and its productivity. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years' experience working on a printing press, a strong commitment to working safe, good communication skills, a demonstrated ability to learn and work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to read production schedule, work order, and work procedures in English.

Problem solving and trouble shooting skills.

Mechanical aptitude.

Knowledge of resins and additives.

Ability to train new associates.

Ability to be the lead on three production lines supervising three packers.

Commitment to quality work.

Commitment to safety and quality. Follow all safety and quality policies.

Able to consistently demonstrate reliable, punctual attendance.

Strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal & written).

General Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent is required.

A minimum of 5-year experience working on a manufacturing team with primary job qualification on the Extruder/ Winder machines is preferred.

Ability to understand and perform all lower position job duties within the Plant.

Ability to lift and move, push or pull up to 50lbs often and up to 100lbs occasionally; navigate stairs; climb ladders; stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout the entire shift.

Ability to work in extreme temperature conditions and around heavy/moving equipment.

General mechanical aptitude & troubleshooting skills.

Possess attention to detail.

Self-starter, with the ability to work independently and as a team member.

Must be able to read tape measure.

We have openings on day shift 7am to 7pm and night shift 7pm to 7am. They will be moving to 2 2 3 schedule and you must be able to work this. Match Staffing is an equal opportunity employer.
