Position: Level 2 Construction Data Center Technician

Location: Austin, TX

Type: Contract (4-6 weeks)

About the Project:

Join our dynamic team working on a significant project. This project involves rack build-outs, object storage build-out, and extensive fiber optic work. We are looking for a skilled technician to help us complete this high-paced, critical project.

Job Description:

We are seeking a Level 2 Construction Data Center Technician who is well-versed in fiber optics. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing equipment, building racks, patching fiber cords, and ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards within the project timeline.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Build and install racks and storage cabinets.

Clean, test, label, and patch thousands of fiber cords.

Install equipment and ensure proper setup.

Work efficiently under tight deadlines to meet project milestones.

Conduct audits, including testing fiber, maintaining spreadsheets, and proper documentation.

Manage the first stage material setup and rack and stack backbone fiber installation.

Perform patching and other tasks.
