The role of Beer Hall Line Cook involves maintaining a well-stocked station and preparing menu items according to company standards. Following recipes and procedures is crucial for consistently delivering high-quality dishes. Reporting to the Kitchen Manager, the Line Cook has no direct reports but plays a vital role in the kitchen team. Responsibilities and expectations include:
Cooking:
Arrive punctually with a positive attitude and in proper uniform.
Working with a sense of urgency.
Adhere to Health Department and Columbus Brewing Company standards and protocols.
Complete opening and closing checklists, prep lists, and line checks.
Maintain a clean and hygienic station.
Prepare orders meticulously and promptly correct any mistakes.
Ensure high-quality presentation of dishes.
Be willing to assist other stations, including expo and dish.
Ensure freshness of each order and follow FIFO rotation.
Communicate any needs to management and team members.
Immediately report any guest issues to a Manager or Manager Assistant, regardless of severity.
Physical Requirements:
Lift weights up to 50lbs daily and move up to 150lbs daily.
Stand for a minimum of eight hours.
Perform bending, lifting, kneeling, reaching, and continuous movement for extended periods.
Work in varying temperature conditions.
