**Machinist - Hand Lapping Specialist**

**Job Description**

We are seeking a skilled machinist who specializes in hand lapping, primarily working with aluminum and steel materials, including some castings. The parts handled are typically up to the size of a car battery, utilizing machines such as Yamas and Makino.

**Responsibilities**

+ Perform hand lapping on aluminum and steel materials.

+ Ensure precision in machining, including working with various castings.

+ Operate and calibrate machines like Yamas and Makino.

+ Collaborate with team members to cross-train on different CNC machines.

**Essential Skills**

+ Proficiency in hand lapping techniques.

+ Experience with machining aluminum and steel.

+ Ability to calibrate and operate Yamas and Makino machines.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Experience as a Calibration Technician is beneficial.

**Work Environment**

Work in a dynamic manufacturing site equipped with 17 CNC machines and 5 conventional machines/grinders, including Royal and Laguna Republic. The role operates on the 1st shift from 6am to 2:30pm, with expectations for one hour of overtime and Saturday work. Embrace a team-oriented culture where mutual assistance is valued, and dress code includes steel toe boots, jeans, and non-offensive t-shirts/sweaters.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
