Position Overview
The IAM Solutions Architect will lead the development of proof-of-concept Identity and Access Management solutions using various products and custom code while collaborating with customers to understand their unique IAM challenges and requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop proof-of-concept IAM solutions that address complex customer requirements
Consult with customers to understand their identity management challenges and business needs
Evaluate and recommend IAM products and technologies that best fit customer use cases
Create custom code and integrations to bridge gaps between commercial IAM products
Document solution architectures, implementation approaches, and technical specifications
Present IAM solution proposals to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Collaborate with implementation teams to ensure successful delivery of solutions
Stay current with IAM industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Identity and Access Management
Strong knowledge of IAM frameworks, protocols, and standards (OAuth, OIDC, SAML, SCIM)
Experience implementing commercial IAM solutions (Okta, Azure AD, ForgeRock, Ping, etc.)
Proficiency in at least one programming language relevant to IAM (Java, C#, Python, etc.)
Understanding of directory services, federation, single sign-on, and privileged access management
Experience with API design and implementation for identity services
Excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences
Proven ability to gather requirements and develop solutions that meet business needs
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud identity services (AWS IAM, Azure AD, Google Cloud IAM)
Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance requirements (NIST, ISO, SOC2, etc.)
Experience with infrastructure as code and DevOps practices
Relevant certifications (CISSP, CCSP, vendor-specific certifications)
Experience with identity governance and administration concepts
Background in solution architecture or pre-sales engineering
