**Description**
The Assembly Operator utilizes a variety of hand/power tools to perform advanced assembly operations of complex assemblies in accordance with quality/ quantity standards; trains employees in basic & complex operations.
• Perform all work in accordance with Standard work outline
• Assemble car locks daily dependent on hour by hour schedule
• Navigate through kits provided to assemble each build
• Performs all work in a safe manner, to include proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Follows Specification of inspections as noted
• Dimensionally checks and tests production to insure assembled output meets requirements per AQL standards
• Utilizes properly calibrated precision measuring instruments such as calipers, depth gages, thread gages, pin gages, and other measuring tools.
• Informs the Team Leader of any operating / material / parts condition that would interfere with quality / quantity production, and takes / coordinates approved actions to resolve the problem(s).
• Performs operator maintenance & operational checks on all departmental tools & equipment.
• The Assembler-I segregates and periodically disposes of scrap / recycled material into approved collection containers.
• In performing assigned duties, frequently lifts / moves up to and including 50 lbs.
• Standing, walking, bending, crouching, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and climbing are all required motions of the job.
• Receives daily direction and support from the Team Leader/Supervisor.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
