About the Role:
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior AWS Cloud Engineer with a strong background in designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure at scale—preferably within the healthcare industry. This role is ideal for a cloud expert who understands both the technical and regulatory complexities of working with PHI/PII data, HIPAA compliance, and mission-critical healthcare systems.Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available AWS cloud infrastructure.
Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, HITRUST) in all cloud environments.
Lead the modernization of legacy systems by migrating workloads to AWS.
Build automation for provisioning, deployment, monitoring, and cost optimization.
Collaborate with security, compliance, and DevOps teams to ensure robust cloud governance.
Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and performance issues across services and systems.
Mentor junior engineers and guide architectural decisions for cloud-native solutions.Required Qualifications:
10+ years of IT experience, with at least 5+ years in AWS cloud engineering roles.
Strong hands-on experience with core AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.).
Deep understanding of cloud security, encryption, identity management, and access control.
Proven experience in the healthcare domain, with working knowledge of HIPAA and data privacy standards.
Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, or similar).
Experience with containerization (Docker, ECS/EKS).
Strong expertise in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Solid knowledge of monitoring, logging, and cost management in AWS environments.Preferred Qualifications:
AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or DevOps Engineer).
Experience with serverless architecture, FHIR, HL7, or healthcare interoperability standards.
Exposure to compliance audits and security frameworks (SOC 2, HITRUST, NIST).
Familiarity with tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Ansible, or Chef/Puppet.
