Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to lead the design, development, and standardization of APIs within a large enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in RESTful, SOAP, and GraphQL architectures, as well as a deep understanding of secure API development and governance. This role will also require close collaboration with business and technical stakeholders to drive the adoption of API standards across the organization.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and standardize APIs using RESTful, SOAP, and GraphQL architectures.

Ensure secure API development in alignment with standards such as OAuth, JWT, and OpenID Connect.

Develop software solutions with a strong focus on object-oriented principles, data structures, and algorithms.

Implement and manage API gateways and platforms, such as AWS API Gateway, to support scalable enterprise systems.

Lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders to define and enforce API standards across systems.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience in API design, development, and standardization.

Strong understanding of API security protocols including OAuth, JWT, and OpenID Connect.

Minimum of 8 years in software development with proficiency in Java, Python, or Golang.

Hands-on experience with API management tools such as AWS API Gateway.

At least 2 years of experience leading cross-functional teams and promoting enterprise-wide API standards.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
