About the Role

You’ll oversee all aspects of production from order staging to machining, assembly, and shipping. This is a key leadership role requiring a proactive, data-driven mindset and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Lead daily operations in machining, welding/fabrication, and assembly departments

Coordinate with engineering, planning, quality, and supply chain teams to meet performance goals

Run daily huddles and Gemba walks to maintain real-time alignment with staff

Track misses to schedule and drive resolution through data and root cause analysis

Champion safety, 5S, SOP adherence, and continuous improvement on the floor

Train, coach, and develop a high-performing team across departments

Manage labor efficiencies, production metrics, and job variances

Lead scheduling, manpower allocation, and production prioritization

Actively promote a “speak-up” culture that challenges the status quo and encourages innovation

Ideal Candidate

5+ years of leadership experience in a high-mix, low-volume precision machining environment

Strong technical understanding of machining, fixturing, tooling, and CNC operations

Knowledge of G-Code/M-Code, modern CAM/CAD systems (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam, CAMWorks)

Track record of reducing setup times and improving throughput

Familiar with structural welding and ISO/quality standards

Confident communicator and collaborative problem-solver

Comfortable using production data and metrics to guide decision-making

Strong leadership presence with a passion for coaching and team accountability
