Summary
We are looking for a Human Resources Assistant to join our dynamic team at Shabby Fabrics. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting our HR functions, ensuring that our workplace remains a great place to work as we expand. This position is essential for maintaining our positive culture and supporting employee engagement.
Responsibilities
Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job openings and screening candidates.
Facilitate employee orientation and onboarding processes.
Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with labor laws.
Support the administration of employee benefits and workers compensation programs.
Assist in data collection for HR metrics and reporting.
Communicate effectively with employees regarding HR policies and procedures.
Help manage social media content related to company culture and recruitment efforts.
Requirements
Strong understanding of employment labor laws and regulations.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Experience with HR software such as PeopleSoft or similar systems is a plus.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and employee support.
