Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Import/Export Specialist to join our team in Richmond, CA. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in exporting perishable goods and managing domestic transportation of these goods. This role requires a deep understanding of container exports, working with carriers and brokers, negotiating carrier rates, and handling inspections related to USDA/USDC. Additionally, experience with export documents and Health Certificates is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the export of perishable goods, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Coordinate domestic transportation of perishable goods, utilizing various modes of transportation.

Handle container exports, including working with carriers and brokers to negotiate rates.

Oversee inspections related to USDA/USDC and ensure all export documents and Health Certificates are in order.

If USDA/USDC experience is too niche, candidates with experience in importing/exporting food are also welcome.

Organize and manage logistics operations, including dealing with carriers, brokers, container shipping, and air freight.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in exporting perishable goods and managing domestic transportation.

Strong knowledge of container exports and working with carriers/brokers.

Experience in negotiating carrier rates and handling USDA/USDC inspections.

Familiarity with export documents and Health Certificates.

Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

Experience in logistics, including dealing with carriers, brokers, container shipping, and air freight.
