Sr. Mechanical Engineer

Overview: We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join a new dynamic mechanical engineering team. As a Sr. Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for applying engineering principles to complete technical assignments and projects independently while also collaborating across departments to resolve process and product issues.

Responsibilities:

Enhance manufacturing capabilities through innovative ideas and methods

Assist with troubleshooting equipment and processes.

Analyze recurring errors and develop solutions to reduce downtime.

Interface with operators and team leaders to monitor and correct process fluctuations.

Manage new equipment introduction, including financial justification and tracking project spending.

Develop training documentation and conduct initial training for production personnel.

Document projects using project and change management tools.

Implement process or equipment improvements to enhance product performance and quality.

Support the transfer of new technology from development to production.

Ensure new technology is repeatable in a production environment.

Complete all necessary production and maintenance documentation

Achieve departmental goals in cost reduction, productivity, process optimization, capacity increases, scrap reduction, and product enhancements.

Participate in continuous improvement activities and apply Six Sigma methodology.

Requirements:

B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering

Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience.

Strong project management skills with the ability to lead medium and large-scale equipment-focused projects.

Experience with SolidWorks/Inventor and AutoCAD software.
