We have a position for an experienced engineer with hands-on knowledge of telematics validation.

What you will be doing:

Execute comprehensive end-to-end tests to validate devices and cloud systems from OEMs and third-party telematics providers.

Assist OEMs and third-party partners in interpreting system requirements and developing their software and cloud solutions accordingly.

Document test results and identified defects, and collaborate with partners to ensure timely resolution.

Report bugs and suggest improvements for internal control software or cloud systems to the relevant teams.

Develop and enhance test tools, and streamline test execution and documentation processes.

Support internal teams in validating new code deployments with OEMs' and third-party devices or cloud systems.

Execute end to end truck validation of digital solutions on Cummins owned and customer trucks.

The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in the following areas:

Minimum of 2 years experience with the automotive or relevant industry.

Proven experience in testing and troubleshooting various functions of Electronic Control Units(ECU), connectivity modules, or cloud systems.

Proficiency in automotive protocols such as UDS, CAN, J1939, or XCP.

Strong understanding of end-to-end automotive calibration, control software, and data flows of Electronic Control Units (ECU).

Knowledge of automation, regression, functional, and security testing of ECUs.

Experience with CAN communication test tools like CANalyzer or PCAN Explorer.

Ability to set up and manage bench & truck testing environments, preferably in automotive labs & on truck with CAN wiring, to support diverse test scenarios.

Expertise in debugging automotive systems, including CAN bus and ECU (engine control unit)

Experience working within a Scrum team and Agile framework, with proficiency in Jira and Confluence.

Familiarity with AWS is a plus.

Troubleshooting telematics systems, controls, hardware, or software issues in the field on-truck

What you'll need to be successful:

College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines.

Proven experience in testing and troubleshooting various functions of Electronic Control Units(ECU), connectivity modules, or cloud systems.

Two or more years of hands-on experience in the IoT or Telematics software area

Proficiency in automotive protocols such as UDS, CAN, J1939, or XCP.

Experience with CAN communication test tools like CANalyzer or PCAN Explorer.

Ability to set up and manage bench testing environments, preferably in automotive labs with CAN wiring, to support diverse test scenarios.

Expertise in debugging automotive systems, including CAN bus and ECU.

Experience working within a Scrum team and Agile framework, with proficiency in Jira and Confluence.

Demonstrated experience in collaborating with OEMs or external companies.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
