The Electrical Engineer is responsible for reading electrical schematics and assembling detailed electrical drawings while ensuring code compliance and supporting installation processes.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
Professional Electrical Engineer license in the State of Michigan preferred
Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and 2D AutoCAD
Experience using Revu Bluebeam and Microsoft Office programs
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with site photometrics and emergency lighting calculations
Knowledge of lighting controls and life safety systems
Ability to interpret and work from electrical engineering plans and wiring diagrams
Job Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and engineering instructions
Assemble electrical drawings including power, lighting, and one-line diagrams
Perform reviews of engineering plans to verify compliance with electrical codes and specifications
Develop and maintain electrical design and material specifications
Approve submittals associated with design packages
Document testing results, operational logs, and corrective actions taken
Provide field support during installation and resolve engineering-related issues
Maintain accurate records of schematics, equipment, and installation documentation
