The Senior Director of Total Rewards will lead the development and execution of the organization’s compensation and benefits strategies for our client. This role will drive the design, implementation, and communication of reward programs while ensuring compliance with legal regulations and company policies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Total Rewards management, strong leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership to align reward programs with business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the strategic design, implementation, and management of compensation, benefits, and payroll programs.
Develop and communicate a comprehensive Total Rewards strategy that supports organizational growth.
Oversee the administration and compliance of compensation policies, benefits programs, and payroll processing.
Lead the creation of a compensation philosophy to ensure fairness, equity, and competitiveness.
Manage annual compensation planning, including salary, bonuses, and incentive programs.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws regarding compensation and benefits.
Oversee benefits program design, renewal processes, and employee communication strategies.
Manage relationships with external vendors and negotiate benefits plan terms.
Conduct market research to assess the competitiveness of compensation and benefits offerings.
Provide leadership and mentoring to the Total Rewards team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Minimum of 6 years of experience in compensation, benefits, and payroll management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Certification in Compensation (CCP) preferred.
Must reside within California
Strong knowledge of payroll systems and processes, with experience in enterprise HR systems (ADP Workforce Now preferred).
Proven ability to develop and execute Total Rewards strategies aligned with business objectives.
Strong analytical, strategic, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach to leadership.
In-depth knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements (ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, etc.).
