Position Overview:
The Oracle E-Business Suite Business Analyst is a member of a team focused on collaborating with business partners to deliver solutions that support business goals and needs while leveraging existing ERP technology investments. This individual serves as a subject matter expert associated with content, processes, and procedures related to EBS inventory, manufacturing, and other supply chain modules. The role applies functional knowledge towards the design and optimal use of the ERP system within supply chain and operations processes. Responsibilities include writing functional requirements and specifications, developing test plans, and helping identify solutions to business challenges. The analyst interacts directly with business stakeholders to build strong relationships and gain deep knowledge of business processes and requirements.
Accountabilities:
Translate business requirements into functional designs, specifications, and solutions for ERP system.
Perform report writing and query creation in relation to ERP source data.
Collaborate with IT and Manufacturing teams to review and understand business requirements, assess available solutions, recommend options, and implement solutions.
Interact closely with internal and external teams and stakeholders to ensure technical and quality targets are met in the development and delivery of services and solutions.
Provide both functional and analytical support and documentation for existing and future implementations of ERP and related modules to business users and peers.
Work with IT staff and stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business requirements and achieve user satisfaction.
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of business processes, procedures, solutions, and systems as they relate to the Oracle EBS platform.
Partner with IT in development, change management, controls adherence, and delivery of end-user and ongoing training and education programs.
Continue to build professional business and technical skills through practice, training, participation in user groups, and education.
Experience and Education:
Education Level:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, MIS, CIS, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience required.
Experience:
3–5 years’ experience working in IT, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing with a focus on requirements gathering and system analysis.
Basic understanding of Supply Chain, Manufacturing Operations, and Order to Cash business processes (Consumer Packaged Goods and/or Food and Beverage industry experience is a plus).
Advanced knowledge in Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2.X, Oracle Forms, and Oracle table structures.
Knowledge of EDI concepts and processes, ideally including EDI data flows used in Consumer Products and Retail industries.
