To grow and support our newly formed global packaging company with annual revenues exceeding $1 billion, we are looking to hire a highly analytical and driven individual to join TOPPAN Packaging Americas’ finance organization.
Reporting to the Commercial Analysis Manager, the Commercial Analyst - Pricing will play a key role in supporting business decision-making by analyzing new business opportunities, developing market-based pricing strategies, and identifying margin improvement opportunities. This position involves collaboration across departments and working with senior leaders to drive business alignment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Develop cost models to be used in new business evaluation by coordinating with all functional areas (Sales, Account Technical, Manufacturing, Supply Management, and Supply Chain) to maximize accuracy of financial models
Establish pricing strategy by analyzing market prices, raw material cost trends, plant capacity, and business profitability targets
Continuously monitor business performance to uncover profit improvement opportunities
Track new business won/lost metrics and customer price feedback
Develop and implement customer price change mechanisms
Analyze expected vs actual margin variances
Run ad-hoc analyses of customer, market segment, and plant performance
Track price/cost performance to ensure positive cost recovery through market and non-market price adjustments
Provide contract management support by ensuring key provisions affecting pricing are defined. This includes language related to market and non-market related material cost changes, adjustment frequency and thresholds, underutilization clauses, freight and payment terms, etc.
Perform periodic invoice price audits to support established internal controls and ensure accuracy
Build strong working relationships with all functional areas to drive commercial alignment and optimize business performance
Present financial summaries of strategic growth opportunities and offer actionable, data-driven recommendations to senior leadership team
This position is located in our Charlotte, NC Office (Uptown Area)

Technical Skills
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights
Proficiency in Excel (advanced skills in formulas, pivot tables, and charts)
Ability to utilize SQL for querying internal databases
Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Qlik, etc.) and ERP/financial software
Understanding of P&L basics
Soft Skills
Strong communication skills and business acumen with the ability to present data clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Excellent problem-solving abilities and takes a proactive approach to finding solutions and improvement opportunities
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
1-3 years of work experience desired
Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Compensation:
The annual base salary for this from $67,860.00 - $75,400.00
