We are seeking a detail-oriented Sr Data Analyst with strong SQL skills and a background in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance or reinsurance. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in transforming data into actionable insights to support underwriting, pricing, and risk management decisions.
Responsibilities:
Extract, clean, and analyze data using SQL and other tools to support business functions
Develop dashboards and reports to track key metrics for underwriting and claims performance
Identify data trends, anomalies, and opportunities to improve business outcomes
Support the implementation of predictive models and automation projects
Ensure data integrity, compliance, and consistency across platforms
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, or related field
2+ years of experience as a data analyst, preferably in P&C insurance or reinsurance
Proficiency in SQL
Strong understanding of insurance data (e.g., policies, claims, loss runs, exposure data)
Experience working with underwriting, actuarial, or finance teams
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Python, R, or Power BI/Tableau
Knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., NAIC, Lloyd’s, Solvency II)
Familiarity with reinsurance structures (treaty, facultative) and ceded data
Experience with data warehousing or cloud platforms (Snowflake, AWS, etc.)
