Description:

Senior (or Principal) Ultrasound Transducer Development Engineer

The company is a pioneer in advanced material inspection, using cutting-edge ultrasound technology to see inside materials like microelectronics and composites in ways never before possible.

The company develops next-generation high-frequency ultrasound imaging systems that are pushing the boundaries of non-destructive evaluation.

Job Function:

As Senior Ultrasound Transducer Development (Principal or Senior) Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of creating the core components in advanced imaging systems. Your work will involve designing and building specialized ultrasound devices (transducers) that operate at very high frequencies to find tiny defects within advanced materials.

You'll model and test transducers test prototypes in our lab. This role involves working closely with a team of engineers to integrate transducer designs into our complete imaging systems.

Design (research and development).and build specialized ultrasound devices (transducers) for high-precision defect detection

Use computer models and analyze the acoustic and electrical performance of transducer designs.

Develop prototype transducers, selecting appropriate materials and designing their internal components for optimal sound transmission.

Conduct laboratory tests to measure key performance characteristics of transducers, such as signal strength and image clarity.

Work with systems engineers to integrate and validate transducers within our advanced imaging systems for inspecting semiconductors and other advanced materials.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to refine designs based on application requirements.

Skills:

Advanced degree in an engineering or science field with a strong understanding of physics and device operation.

3-10 years experience in designing and developing ultrasound transducers or similar acoustic devices.

Good understanding of how radio waves and high-frequency sound waves are used in ultrasound transducer applications.

Experience in software for device modeling and simulation for Transducer performance.

Knowledge of materials used in Transducer devices.

Understanding of high-frequency electrical circuits used with Transducers.

Experience with optimizing Transducer based ultrasound systems

Hands-on experience testing and evaluating device performance in a lab.
