Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and internal controls specific to a manufacturing setting.
Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate financial reports, ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Analyze financial results, manufacturing costs, and variances; provide insights to support operations and strategic planning.
Assist in developing and managing the annual budget, forecasts, and long-range financial plans.
Manage the Accounting Department, including oversight of payroll, inventory accounting, cost accounting functions and AP & AR.
Partner with operations and supply chain teams to evaluate production efficiency, capital investments, and cost reduction initiatives.
Coordinate with external auditors and prepare the required documentation for audits and compliance reviews.
Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal financial and tax regulations.
Recommend and track financial benchmarks, including KPIs relevant to manufacturing operations such as cost per unit, labor efficiency, and inventory turnover.
Administer and oversee the company's 401(k) plan and other benefit-related accounting.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (Preferably Epicor)
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Understanding of job costing, BOMs, and manufacturing processes.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
At least 10 years of accounting experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing environment.
CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) designation preferred.
Pay: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
