Amalfi Jets is looking for an experienced Senior Backend Developer to lead the backend development of our high-end Amalfi Reserve Platform. You’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining robust APIs, managing secure infrastructure, and ensuring seamless integration with third-party services.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs for mobile and web clients

Maintain and optimize the admin panel and backend logic using Laravel

Collaborate with mobile and frontend developers for seamless integration

Integrate third-party services such as payment gateways, CRMs, and analytics

Ensure application performance, security, and scalability

Manage staging and production deployments on AWS

Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and error reporting tools

Qualifications

4-6+ years of backend development experience

Strong proficiency in PHP (Laravel preferred)

Experience with relational databases (MySQL or equivalent)

Solid understanding of REST API principles and integration patterns

Experience working with cloud infrastructure (AWS or similar)

Familiarity with payment systems (e.g., Stripe, Square)

Comfortable working with SSH/SFTP, CI/CD tools, and version control (Git)

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Bonus: Experience with Firebase tools, HubSpot API, or aviation-related tech

Location:

Hybrid / Remote + In-Office at our HQ in Calabasas, CA

Compensation & Benefits:

$130,000 - $200,000 USD per year
