Job Summary:
The Frontend/UI Lead is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing user-centric web interfaces to enhance the user experience for retail pricing strategies. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the frontend architecture aligns with business goals and technological advancements.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Design & Requirement
Design and Review: Create and review architecture for new web applications or enhancements to existing ones.
Prototyping: Develop prototypes of UI designs and work with team members in coding and testing.
Standards Compliance: Establish UI/UX standards and guidelines, ensuring compliance throughout the development process.
Development and Implementation
Application Development: Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable frontend code using modern frameworks and technologies.
Performance Optimization: Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of web applications.
Integration: Assist in the integration of new technologies or third-party products within existing systems.
Agile Methodologies
Agile Practices: Implement and advocate for Agile methodologies within the development team.
Scrum Management: Facilitate Scrum ceremonies and ensure Agile principles are followed.
Leadership and Communication
Team Leadership: Lead and inspire the frontend development team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
Effective Communication: Communicate technical updates and progress reports clearly to stakeholders and team members.
Stakeholder Management
Engagement: Regularly engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide technical solutions.
Feedback Integration: Incorporate stakeholder feedback into the development process to ensure alignment with business goals.
6. Technical Problem Solving
Issue Resolution: Resolve technical issues that arise during development phases.
Troubleshooting: Support the team in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in production environments.
7. People Management
Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior developers and UI/UX designers.
Team Development: Support the professional growth of team members, although this is a lower priority compared to other responsibilities.
8. Soft Skills
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Learning: Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and methodologies.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Over 12 years of experience in Frontend/UI development.
Familiarity with modern architecture.
Proven experience in unit testing and test-driven development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Leadership experience and a track record of mentoring junior developers.
