Position Overview:
We are recruiting for a Litigation Partner with a portable book of business to join a high-performing, entrepreneurial litigation practice. The ideal candidate has a strong track record in commercial litigation, shareholder and partnership disputes, and complex financial or securities matters. This is an opportunity to integrate into a team that regularly handles high-stakes disputes nationwide, including in federal and state courts, as well as arbitration forums such as FINRA and the AAA.
Representative Matters Include:
Breach of contract, lease, and purchase/sale agreement disputes
Partnership and shareholder litigation, including LLC and fiduciary matters
Real estate, foreclosure, and employment-related contract disputes
Securities Act and Exchange Act litigation, including Rule 10b-5 claims
Investor and insider litigation, corporate governance matters, and disclosure disputes
Litigation involving activist and distressed investment strategies
Insurance defense litigation and coverage disputes
Representation in FINRA and AAA arbitration, mediation, and ADR forums
Administrative enforcement hearings and regulatory defense matters
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
At least 8–10 years of experience as lead counsel in complex commercial or securities litigation
Portable book of business (minimum $400k+) with proven client retention
Experience representing institutional clients, public or private companies, directors/officers, or broker-dealers
Familiarity with financial instruments, capital markets, and regulatory issues a strong plus
Licensed to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (NY/NJ preferred)
