Power BI & Business Objects Report Developer/SME

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI & Business Objects Report Developer with expertise in new report development, sustainment, and maintenance within the GPO environment. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of Power BI and SAP Business Objects, along with experience working with Oracle/GBIS data systems. This role involves developing, enhancing, and maintaining critical business intelligence reports to support government operations.

Responsibilities:

New Report Development: Design, develop, and deploy Power BI dashboards and reports based on business requirements.

Report Sustainment & Maintenance: Perform updates, optimizations, and troubleshooting for existing Power BI and Business Objects reports.

Data Integration & Modeling: Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from Oracle/GBIS systems into Power BI and Business Objects.

Performance Optimization: Ensure reports are efficient, scalable, and performant for end-users.

User Support & Training: Assist GPO users with report functionality, troubleshooting, and best practices.

Documentation: Maintain technical documentation for report specifications, data sources, and processes.

Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights.

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in Power BI development (DAX, Power Query, data modeling).

3+ years of experience in SAP Business Objects (Web Intelligence, Universe Design).

Strong SQL skills and experience with Oracle databases.

Knowledge of ETL processes and data integration techniques.

Familiarity with government reporting standards (preferred).

Public Trust Clearance required

Experience with GBIS (Global Business Intelligence System) or similar federal reporting systems.

Certifications in Power BI, Business Objects, or Oracle.

Understanding of data governance and security best practices in a government environment.Company Description
