Job summary:

Program and Set-Up various CNC machines.

CNC Programmer and Set up person Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Develop CNC Programs

Set up CNC machines.

Develop CNC machining process for new projects.

Maintain effectiveness and efficiency of the production schedule.

Selecting cutting tools and work-holding tools for new projects

Provide training to machine operators for each new set up/process.

Maintain and improve daily productivity.

Update and modify outdated programs, implement latest cutting techniques, and lean methodology.

Troubleshoot minor machine errors, program errors.

Maintain quality and safety control standards.

Work effectively with other departments to achieve the common goal.

CNC Programmer and Set up person Necessary Education, Skills, and Competencies (including licensing and certifications):

High school diploma or GED

2 years set up experience in house or previous employer.

Programming: in-house training and trade school or minimum 2 years programming experience with Swiss Screw machines

5 years min Swiss Screw Machine operation experience

In-house QSP training
