Goodwill Industries of Kentucky is looking for an energetic, self-motivated, dynamic professional Accounting and Revenue Cycle Specialist I to join our team! The Accounting and Revenue Cycle Specialist I will provide accounting support and technical assistance for the Finance and Accounting department. Job Type: Full-time, Non-Exempt

Essential Duties and Tasks:

Processes Revenue Cycle items as directed, including:

Recording and entering daily physical and ACH deposits

Processing Accounts Receivable invoices for aftermarket sales, sponsorships and fundraising, rent, and other revenue items

Reconciling customer accounts, ensuring all transactions are correctly recorded

Generating and emailing customer account statements

Communicating with customers regarding overdue accounts

Administrates rent process for tenants, including maintaining reports that illustrate current tenant account status and communicating with tenants regarding any late payments.

Performs bank administration activities including researching certain ACH suspects, ordering deposit tickets, and facilitating depository changes for retail locations.

Assists with the administration of utilities accounts including data entry for monthly utility bills, account onboarding/offboarding, and managing shut off notices.

Assists in month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts receivable

Serves as an assistant administrator for selected accounting systems and provides customer service on system operation to field users.

Perform other duties as assigned to ensure success of the mission.

Education and Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in accounting or related field is a plus.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk, Accounts Receivable Clerk, or in a similar role.

Experience with Sage Intacct accounting software is not required but is favored.

Must possess the ability to plan, prioritize workflow, meet deadlines and work well with a variety of people with minimal supervision.

Must have reliable transportation to and from work.

Must have valid driver’s license and insurance.

Physical Demands:

This job may have physical requirements that range from sedentary to medium work. Sedentary work involves sitting for long periods of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking, hearing, and visual acuity and occasional lifting up to 10 pounds.
