Medical Front Office Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Medical Front Office Receptionist to join our healthcare team. This position is the first point of contact for patients and visitors, playing a vital role in creating a welcoming and efficient front office experience. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a professional demeanor, and a genuine interest in helping others.

Hours:

Monday - Friday: 10am - 7pm

Weekend Coverage Rotation required

Key Responsibilities:

Greet patients and visitors with a warm, professional demeanor

Answer incoming calls and route them appropriately

Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments

Verify patient insurance and obtain necessary authorizations

Collect co-pays, balances, and update patient records

Maintain the front desk area and waiting room to ensure a clean and welcoming environment

Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow

Handle patient check-in and check-out procedures

Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations

Perform general administrative duties such as data entry, filing, faxing, and scanning

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Previous experience in a medical office or customer service role preferred

Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems a plus

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

Professional appearance and attitude

Bilingual skills are a plus (if applicable)

Working Conditions:

This position may require prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and working on a computer. Some lifting of office supplies or medical records may be necessary.Company Description
