Experienced Press Brake Operator

Job Description

Ameritech is hiring an Experienced Press Brake Operator in the Houston Heights area to set up and operate hydraulic press brakes to bend, form, and straighten metal plates and sheet metal according to specified layouts and blueprints. The ideal candidate will seek a challenging but stable position, a strong mechanical aptitude, high attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality custom work.

Schedule: Monday – Friday 6 AM – 2:30 PM

Responsibilities:

Set up, adjust and operate press brake machinery to bend, form, and straighten metal plates and sheet metal.

Interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications to determine setup procedures and bending sequences.

Select and install appropriate tooling based on job requirements.

Adjust machine settings to ensure proper alignment, angle, and dimension of bends.

Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machine operation and product quality.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator

Proficiency in interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings

Familiarity with hydraulic press brake machinery and tooling

Strong mathematical skills and ability to accurately measure and calculate dimensions.

Ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials +/- 50 LBS.

Excellent attention to detail and quality control

Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
