About the Role:
Are you a skilled communicator with a knack for training others on healthcare systems and processes? We are seeking an experienced and tech-savvy EMR & Training Specialist to lead employee education, with a focus on onboarding and training staff on Athena, our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system. This hybrid role based out of King of Prussia, PA, is critical in helping new hires and current staff gain confidence and competence in using essential tools and workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
Train new hires and existing employees on the Athena EMR system, including navigation, workflows, and best practices.
Develop, deliver, and continuously improve training programs across departments, both in person and virtually.
Administer and maintain content on the company Intranet to ensure relevance and accuracy.
Manage user access, permissions, and training for systems such as Patient Archive, Epic Care Links, Athena, and HealthStream.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Konica/PACS and UltiPro systems.
Create and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) tailored to each role.
Lead HR compliance trainings including FMLA, workers’ compensation, and policy overviews.
Conduct structured follow-up with new hires at 30, 60, and 90 days to assess training progress and address any issues.
Serve as a workflow “superuser,” ensuring staff are aligned with system protocols and efficient practices.
Manage user roles for Allscripts PM and EHR; act as liaison with Premier’s IT and Allscripts support.
Provide on-site support for onboarding providers and clinical staff as needed.
Handle employee offboarding by terminating system access and notifying external vendors.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in training, HR, or clinical systems support, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Strong familiarity with Athena EMR; previous training or superuser experience highly preferred.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to translate complex systems and processes into clear, practical instructions.
Proficient with digital training tools and online learning platforms.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (preferred).
