Description
We seek applicants for a part-time instructor to teach courses in the Recovery Support Specialist Program within the Health Sciences division.
General responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Prepare appropriate syllabi for courses taught
Develop lectures, discussions, and presentations to enhance student learning
Evaluate students’ performance using appropriate methods
Secure and maintain instructional materials and equipment
Requirements
Associate degree
Minimum of two years' full-time work experience in the field of recovery support, substance use, mental health and/or co-occurring disorders (mental health and substance use) services
Active license, registration, or credential for the profession
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
Daytime and/or evening on-campus availability
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Successful teaching or supervisory experience
Expertise with instructional technology
THIS POSITION IS BASED IN CENTRAL iLLINOIS AND ABILITY TO BE PRESENT ON-CAMPUS/IN-PERSON IS REQUIRED.

Adjunct faculty shall be compensated per Equated Contact Hours (ECH) of instruction. The current rate of compensation per ECH for new Adjunct Faculty is $982.
