An (U)HNW international family with homes on both the East (NYC) and West Coast (LA) are seeking a full-time, live-in chef, starting in early July. The expectation is that the candidate will provide breakfast snacks (to be set aside/left in the fridge the night before), lunch (at 12 noon daily) and dinner (5pm daily) for 2 adults and 2 children, 5 days per week - this must include Saturdays and Sundays and the candidate will have 2 consecutive days off in the week. This is a staffed household so the number of adults may vary from time to time. This position requires flexibility to travel between both residences - housing and transport will be provided at both locations.
Responsibilities
The family follow a strict vegetarian diet so candidates should be able to prepare appealing and balanced vegetarian meals for the whole family.
Other responsibilities will include keeping the fridges, freezers, and produce cupboards tidy and up to date, keeping track of inventory, grocery shopping (i.e. not every day/not letting food go to waste, etc.), cleaning up the kitchen at the end of each day and generally keeping everything in order.
Qualifications
5-8+ years' verifiable experience working in a similar role
The ideal candidate will approach their work with calm, warmth, and organization - this is a very “zen” but functional household and there is exceptional staff retention.
The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on using fresh, organic, seasonal produce sourced from local farmers’ markets whenever possible.
A background in wellness, clean eating, and family-style service is highly valued.

US passport, Green Card or EAC

There are cats in the home so candidates should be pet friendly
