Supervisor Assistant Principal for Instruction
Rate of Pay $49.48 per hour

Summary The AP Support Coordinator will coordinate the AP Learning Center during the 4 lunch periods daily. The supervisor will help network AP students into study groups and consult with students on AP skills, goal setting, study habits, and growth mindset. The supervisor will also monitor AP Student grades in progress and notify teachers about students who are struggling.
AP/IB teaching experience preferred
Detail oriented, organized and relational. Knowledge of Google sheets.
Special Skills Candidate should have
Candidates with a valid Illinois Professional Educator License preferred.
Candidates must have:
Ability to be punctual and provide an adult presence focused on supervision of students
Positive attitude toward working with students of various levels of maturity and academic abilities
Ability to remain composed and patient with difficult student behavior
Ability to follow directions and carry out assigned duties with limited direct supervision
Use effective interpersonal communication skills with students and staff
Ability to accurately record attendance in Powerschool; confidentially maintain information about students and track discipline
Ability to use conflict resolution and problem solving skills
Create signs and documents utilizing computers and other technology

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. In addition, the ability to withstand long-term use of video display terminals (VDT) is required.
The employee may occasionally lift up to 30 pounds such as reference books.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
The pace of work tasks would be considered as fast.
Work is usually conducted at one job site, however, on occasion, this employee will be required to attend meetings, conferences, or workshops and events at other sites as assigned.
