First Resources Corp. is looking for an energetic and self motivated Maintenance Technician. As a Maintenance Technician, you will repair and maintain facility equipment. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple changing priorities and ability to work independently at times. Additionally, you will utilize motorized lift and rental equipment as needed.

FULL TIME OPPORTUNITY: Monday- Friday 7am-3:30pm

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As the individual responsible for vehicle and equipment maintenance, you diligently develop and carry out a regular maintenance schedule for items not under service contracts. This includes tasks such as changing oil, light bulbs, filters, and conducting monthly inspections. When non-routine maintenance is required for equipment, buildings, or vehicles, you either handle the repairs yourself or arrange for a contractor to complete the work, ensuring it meets satisfactory standards.

You stay informed and prepared to handle emergencies and evacuations, always adhering to safety standards and taking corrective action when violations occur. Regularly, you pick up supplies and equipment, and manage the requisition of maintenance supplies. Security of departments, supplies, equipment, and tools is under your watchful eye.

Your role also involves attending and participating in staff meetings and in-services as required, maintaining the highest level of confidentiality at all times. You take charge of yard work and snow removal at all FRC properties and locations, ensuring a clean and organized work area. Additionally, you handle other work-related tasks as assigned by your supervisors.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

To perform your duties effectively, you possess the manual dexterity to operate equipment, work in confined spaces, and use hand/electric power tools. You are capable of navigating stairways, climbing ladders, and working at high elevations. Your experience with general maintenance of vehicles, plumbing, electrical systems, and mechanics of equipment is essential. You are physically able to move bulky or heavy equipment as needed and may be required to climb, stoop, kneel, or crawl in the course of your daily work. Additionally, you can lift a minimum of 40 pounds without restrictions.

REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record and show proof of auto insurance.

Minimum 1 year experience in maintenance preferred.

Experience in Carpentry and Home Renovation needed.
